Taking Care of your Piercing
To ensure that your piercing settles in well, we advise that you follow the simple care routine explained below:
Keep your piercing clean. In the weeks after piercing, clean and disinfect the piercing twice or three times daily. After washing, gently pat dry with clean tissues. If your piercing has been weeping, ensure that the entry and exit points of your jewellery are particularly clean – a cotton bud is useful here. When the area is dry and clean, apply a small amount of In Skin Piercing Aftercare or warm salt water.
After two to three days, your piercing should be settled enough to gently move the jewellery when applying antiseptic. This ensures the antiseptic penetrates deeply. Following this daily routine for at least six weeks after piercing will minimise any problems. Then we recommend that you fully cleanse and disinfect your piercings once or twice a week, or as necessary.
For oral piercings, we recommend the use of antiseptic mouthwash after eating for the first month.

Taking Care of your Tattoo
To ensure that your tattoo settles in well, we recommend that you follow the simple care routine explained below:
Keep your tattoo clean. Two to three hours after being tattooed, wash the whole area thoroughly. Firm pressure will allow you to remove any pigments left on the surface of your skin, and gently break down the initial scab. Then pat dry with a clean towel or tissues. When dry, rub in a thin smear of In Skin Tattoo Aftercare or warm salt water.
After the first wash-off, keep your tattoo dry and clean.
A normal shower is fine, but do not soak the tattoo while it is healing. Always dry it gently and rub in a thin smear of antiseptic. If you work in a dirty or dusty environment, cover the tattoo while at work. Otherwise, keep it uncovered as much as possible. Do not swim.
It is normal for your tattoo to itch while healing. Do not scratch it, and do not remove any of the scab, as this may affect the colour density of the tattoo. When the scab has fallen off naturally, the healing is complete.
