Design requests
Here at In Skin we have always been known for the quality and creativity of our work. We try to give every tattoo we create a little something extra, to make it special. To that end, we have developed our design request service. It enables us to draw up anything, anything at all that you wish to have tattooed on your body.
We can take designs from anything you bring in – in the past we have taken designs from greetings cards, tea towels, magazines, almost anything. Of course, now, the availability of tattoo designs on the internet has brought a whole new realm of possibilities into play.
Even if you don’t have a design to bring into us, we can still help. A sketch of your own, no matter how rough, is enough for us to develop a unique design for you. Or even if you only have the idea, then we can talk it through with you and get it all down on paper.
Perhaps it is true to say that our Design Request Service really comes into it’s own with cover-ups. A badly-chosen or badly executed tattoo can be a hugely embarrassing problem, but we are happy to design a cover-up to your own specifications.
Before we can even think about pens and paper, the idea has to be right. So we will spend some time with you, talking through your likes and dislikes, looking at any designs you may have brought in, or going through our design reference to get some idea of what it is that you want.
Then, we need to know exactly how you want the new tattoo to look on your body – how big, what colour, what position, and so on. If the new piece is to cover an old tattoo, we will take tracings and photographs of the old one so that we can draw the new one as an exact cover.
Then we take a deposit from you (which will be taken off the price of the final tattoo) and we’re ready to start! You need to be aware that at our busiest periods – usually the middle of summer – it can take four to six weeks for the design to be drawn. But we will always give you some idea of the waiting time when you put in your Design Request form. As soon as the design is drawn, we will call you in to view it, at which point we will be able to give you a quote on costs and timings. And then you’re ready to go!
